Johannes Kabatek has received an SNSF contribution for his project "Experimentelle Morphosyntax romanischer Sprachen". The 4-year project, which began on 1 April 2019, employs two postdoctoral students, one doctoral student and two assistants.

Johannes Kabatek also receives a contribution from the Foundation for Research in Science and the Humanities for another project, "Die Bula ineffabilis in den Sprachen der Welt – Schaffung eines Parallelkorpus zu 55 Sprachen und Dialekten  Europas".
